Growing up in the 1990’s in Los Angeles, Carla Ramos escaped the boredom of her adolescent teenage years locked up in her room, experiencing life through the pages of YM, Elle, Rolling Stone, Details, Vogue, Marie Claire and Glamour magazines. It wasn’t until the first time she experienced freedom, while roaming the halls at UC Berkeley her freshman year, that she discovered her passion for literature and for writing. Carla nourishes her creativity by exposing herself to a myriad of subjects and writes with the goal of combining cultural perspective with a little heart and soul. With a focus in entertainment, reviews and travel journaling, Carla believes that sometimes the best inspiration is drawn from the unconventional.
Believes that, “writing is powerful. It constantly amazes me that 26 letters, simply arranged in different ways, have the capacity to inspire, spread critical knowledge, and transform people. Writing can also entertain, or provide the comic relief someone desperately needs that day.” Katharine is a published poet, author, copywriter, editor and blogger. While her repertoire is broad, ranging from fashion to nonfiction, her focus and drive is to provide cutting edge medical news to the community regarding health and wellness.
Marisa is a lawyer by day and creative artist at all other times. She enjoys sharing information about fashion, music, film, politics, books, food, and human beings in general. Although she spends her days writing briefs and motions, in her spare time she writes things which are funny, poignant, and most importantly, relevant. She is opinionated, but also knows and respects the thoughts of others. She believes that nothing is ever black and white, but that there are many colorful layers to discover in between. Marisa is currently working on several novels and is also an accomplished songwriter and poet.
In addition, Lala Valentine has additional contributing graphic designers, marketing media mavens, writers and guest bloggers, including Jennifer Mullen, Lauren Golik, and Samantha Williams, among others.
